Celebrating their 25th year in the business of producing quality decals on Dutch subjects, Dutch Decal is releasing this one from their first years. It covers three aircraft types that were important to the Dutch Air Force; the Hunter, Starfighter and Thunderstreak. The sheet covers an incredible number of aircraft. You get five Hunter options, six Thunderstreak options and twelve Starfighters. These include some special markings such as they were back in those days. Some of the Hunters are F.4 variants and the full color instruction and profile sheet offers information on backdating extant kits.

One thing about this compared to 25 years ago is that we now have excellent kits for the Starfighter from Hasegawa and for the Hunter from Revell. In terms of the Thunderstreak, PJ Production has offered resin kits and of course Airfix and Italeri still offer their old warriors.

The sheet itself is superbly printed with no registration errors. There are insignia and data markings in this sheet to take care of one aircraft type each. You can use kit decals and aftermarket insignia if you wish to do more than one of each aircraft. In fact, the Revell Hunter has a Dutch option so there is a ready to go set for a second option. I should mention that the sheet scan has been darkened to show the white bits.

If you missed these the first time around and want something that is both interesting and colorful, these markings are for you.

Thanks to www.dutchdecal.nl  for the review sheet. You can get yours at your favorite shop.
