This new sheet from Iliad Designs covers four fighters that were to participate in Operation Rutter. Operation Rutter was the initial British/Canadian plan to invade the French town of Dieppe. However, the Germans got wind of it and bombed the assembled forces. Not only that, but a spell of bad weather resulted in the operation being cancelled. Renamed Operation Olympic, the assault occurred a month later, though none of the planes had the special markings applied for Rutter.

All the options are in the European scheme. Three of these are Spitfire Vb aircraft while a fourth is a Hurricane II. The first option is340 Squadron. Next is a 350 (Belgian) Squadron plane. Both of these have external armor on the windscreen. They also have a Rotol prop.

The third plane with 302 Squadron has internal windscreen armor and a knock out panel in the canopy. This aircraft has a deHavilland prop.

Fourth is a Hurribomber with 174 (Mauritius) Squadron. This aircraft has an exhaust anti-glare shield. All of the options have the special banding and a white spinner.

All of the white stripes will need to be painted on and there are instructions on just how to do that. All the aircraft also had a pair of white stripes on the tailplanes.

The sheet is superbly printed with  sufficient insignia to do all four options.
