PRICE: $14.00 from Iliad Decals
REVIEWER: Scott Van Aken
NOTES: Reprint with new additions

This is a reprint of an older sheet, but with additional schemes in it. I do not know what was removed or what was added as I don't have the initial offering, but I can tell you that this one has five very nice offerings. The majority of the aircraft are in mostly unpainted metal, though two of them are in an overall silver paint.

First up is an LF IXc of 601 Squadron in Italy during 1943. It keeps the painted upper cowling to act as an anti-glare panel. Like all Mediterranean theater planes, it has a red spinner

Next is another IXc, this one flown by LtCol Allen of XIX TAC in France during late 1944. It has a thin black anti glare panel with the canopy surround and rudder still in camouflage paint. This aircraft has a white spinner.

Third offering is a Vc trop of 85 Squadron RAAF in early 1945 in Australia. This one also has a black anti-glare panel with a white spinner.

The first of our silver painted planes is this Mk VIII used as a 'hack' by the4 307FS in 1944. Wing tips on this one are yellow and red.

The final option is a Mk.XVI with a bubble canopy  of 1 Pilot Refresher Flying Unit in 1950. This one is also silver painted with a black anti-glare panel and what appears to be a faded yellow spinner. Yellow fuselage band. This one has clipped wing tips.

There are a lot of kits out there that could be used with this sheet. The darling of today's modelers are the various ones by Eduard, but I'm sure than those from anyone else would work just as well. The sheet itself is superbly printed as are the instructions that offer both profile and plan views. Well worth picking up.
