Fundekals is a new decal maker on the market. They have a most interesting business plan in that each sheet they do covers just one subject. Since you have to order them on-line, the markings instructions and a nice history of the aircraft and pilot (when known) is provided on the web site. In this way, you simply download the instructions when you need them.

As their sheets are not numbered in the normal way, I have started off with Squadron Leader Lance Wade's Spitfire Mk.VIII when he was the boss of 145 Squadron in 1943. His aircraft is in the standard desert scheme with a red spinner, but unlike most Mk. VIII Spitfires, this one has extended wing tips, something normally only seen on high altitude Spits.

The markings are very nicely printed with almost no excess clear surround. They are standard waterslide and not ALPS printed as is frequently the case. The sheet includes unique markings and insignia. These decals are available in all three major scales, this being the 1/72 set.

If you are fed up with having to buy markings you will not use just to get one set, then I think this may well be the answer for you.

Thanks to Fundekals for the review sheet. You can find this and other products on their website.
