After the
fall of the Netherlands East Indies in 1942, several surviving Martin type 166
bombers escaped to Northern Australia. One of them was sold to the USAAF and
used by a hack until scrapped in 1944. This aircraft had insignia in six places,
which was rather unusual later in the war. All the paint was stripped off, a few
transparencies were covered with sheet metal and all the weapons were removed.
It was also given a rather unflattering nick name.
This sheet allows the modeler to build this aircraft based on the most recent release by Azur/FRROM. The decals are nicely printed by Fantasy Printshop.
Thanks to www.frrom.com for the review sheets.
