Twelve options

This set is another collaboration between Furball Aero Design and Detail and Scale. It provides twelve options for the F-14A Tomcat during its time with VF-114, a unit that was disestablished in April 1993 after 48 years of continuous service. The set covers all of the schemes worn by the F-14 from the light gull grey over white scheme to the overall gull grey and the Tactical Paint Scheme.

While no specific kit is mentioned (or I missed it), most will go for the Tamiya 1/48 Tomcat, though it should fit other kits in this scale with little or no issue. Usually the problem of fit comes with fin and fuselage bands and stripes. You would think that all 1/48 F-14s are the same, but that is not always the case. Note that the bands really are orange it is just that my scanner made them more red.

So here is what's on the sheet.

The sheet provides enough data markings for two planes. However, by also combining some kit markings, you can do many others. A full data placement guide is provided as well. Decals are superbly printed by Cartograf.
