This next sheet from our friends at FCM is a very nice one for 1/72 C-130 Hercules. As usual, it concentrates on the aircraft of Brazil and other South American nations, which is a great choice as there are some very interesting schemes.

For this one, there are three Brazilian schemes so let's begin there. All three planes are in a base scheme of white over a light grey and the instructions recommend FS 36622. The instructions also note that in several cases the colors are estimates. All three are C-130E versions. The first one with the yellow fuselage bands is from 1/6 Grupo de Aviancao at Recife in 1978. Next, with the SAR markings and vivid red (perhaps daglo red) is with 1/1 Grupo de Transporte at Rio de Janeiro in 1988. The third option is devoid of the colored bands and instead has a large unit badge on the fin. This is from 1/1 Grupo de Transp. De Tropas at Rio as well in 1977.

Next nation covered in Venezuela. THis is a C-130H from Eqcuadron 61 at Marcay in 2010. This aircraft carries the standard Southeast Asia scheme.

The fifth option on the sheet is a C-130B with Escuadron Aereo #3 at Canelones Uruguay in 1998. This is one of many surplused USAF C-130B aircraft that was sold overseas once they were removed from USAF service. This one is in the Euro 1 scheme.

The decals themselves are superbly printed by Microscale and include all of the various cheatlines and wing walk areas that you will require. Complete information on the lengths needed for these is provided.  Instructions are three pages that include not only the usual profiles, but both sides for the camouflaged aircraft and the upper side markings for the aircraft as well. A comprehensive data scheme diagram is also included in the pages.

In this scale, I do believe that Airfix and Italeri make the kits you should be seeking. In all, it is an excellent sheet that should please 1/72 C-130 fans and a sheet you should seriously consider for your next Herc build.
