This is the first sheet from Exito Decals and concentrates on Bf-109G-6 aircraft operating in the Balkans, an area frequently overlooked by decal makers. The sheet consists of three aircraft, all of which at least started out in the standard RLM 74/75/76.

First up is an aircraft from 7./JG 77 as flown by Uffz Anton Reimer. This aircraft was based in ROmania in Jauary 1944.

Next is Black 5 of an unknown pilot based in Croatia during may 1944. Most of its standard camo, including the upper wings, has had a lot of RLM 76 sprayed over it. Like the previous option, this one is a 'gun boat'.

Finally, a captured late war plane as flown by a defecting pilot to Foggia Italy in August 1944. Thie locals soon went to work to ensure it would not accidentally be shot down why doing test flying.

The decals are superbly done by Cartograf, but what makes this set truly unique is that each of the markings options' placement diagrams are really full size color prints suitable for framing. The front gives left and right while on the back are upper and underside images as well as notes and sometimes a photo or two of the aircraft in question.

While no kit is recommended, there are a lot of very good 109G-6 kits out there to choose from. This one is also available in 1/48 scale
