Euro Decals 72125: 57 FIS F-4C Phantom II

This set from Fantasy Printshop is a bit unusual as it is only for one aircraft. That aircraft is the Bicentennial plane from the 57 FIS in 1976. This aircraft had the tail surfaces filled with the unit's black and white checkers.

This scheme has been available i one of Hasegawa's old boxings, but it is great to have it available as decent decals. The aircraft itself is in the then-standard Southeast Asia scheme. The set does not include stencils so those will need to come from the kit decals.

In addition to the tail markings, Euro Decals has included a large selection of spare checkers just in case you need them. This is a very nice thought as there are times when things just go wrong and you need spares.

The decals themselves are superbly printed and will work with most setting solutions. The placement guide is large and shows where all the markings fit. Note the you do have to paint the underlying white part of the checkers.
