Notes: Part III

In 1/72 there is really no lack of suitable markings for the Fw-190. Especially the late war A-8 variant. This sheet offers markings for the earlier A-5 and A-6 version. For kits, you have a few choices, but most will take the Hasegawa kit as it is probably the most easily obtained.

The sheet offers a full suite of common markings for each aircraft and there are also two full sets of data markings should you decide to use them.

The first aircraft is the black and white checked cowling of a I./JG 1 190A-6. It is in the usual RLM 74/75/76.

Next is white 12 from I./JG 51 on the Eastern Front in mid 1943. This 190A-5 is colored in a most colorful scheme of what the instructions call RLM 70/71/83 over 76, though I'm not sure that RLM 83 was around at that time. It has a full suite of Eastern Front markings.

The black and white cowl bands of the 190A-5 of I./JG 1s Technical Officer is the next aircraft. This one is also in the standard RLM 74/75/76 with a yellow under nose section.

Finally, the yellow nosed 190A-5, also from JG 1 in mid 1943. White 7 is in standard colors with little in the way of fuselage mottling.

Please note that the sheet may look a bit short as I'll often crop off common markings to save on server space.
