This is the first of two new 1/48 B-17 sheets. Both aircraft on this sheet are from the 91st BG, which seems to get a LOT of attention from decal makers. More unusually, these are early B-17Gs and are camouflaged in Olive Drab over Neutral Grey. For kits your only choice is the still nice, but rather elderly Monogram kit. It is quite doubtful if anyone else will expend the funding needed to do a new tool B-17, so this is really your only option.

The first plane is from the 401st BS  and is named 'Little Patches'. This aircraft has large red areas on the fin, horizontal stabilizers and the wing tips.

The other option is 'Pist'l Packin' Mama' from the 324th BS. This aircraft has the early nose cheek gun position.

Insignia is provided for one of the two options.
