Probably one of the most popular decal sheet subjects when it comes to jets is the Phantom. Besides the fact that thousands were built, they also happen to have carried some very colorful schemes. This is what makes Navy F-4s so popular at contests. All three subjects are in gloss gull grey over white. There are enough common markings for one aircraft.

The first subject is an F-4N from VF-41 during the Bicentennial year of 1976. VF-41 didn't go nuts as did some units so the only are specially marked is the fin stripe.

Next is probably one of the most  decaled aircraft around, 151000 from VF-111. For some reason the Sundowners are one of the favorite units for modelers. Too bad the squadron was one of the first to be disestablished during the drawdown after Desert Storm. Anyway, this is an F-4N CAG bird. Note the differences in this plane regarding fin and intake ECM antennas in comparison to the VF-41 bird. This plane has no intake antennas typical of the F-4N and also has the older fin leading edge antenna housing. This aircraft has red wing and stabilator tips. Above is the picture to prove it.

Finally an F-4J from VF-154. This is also a CAG bird from 1975 and has red wing and stabiliator tips. Note in the image how clean this plane is and (in this 1973 photograph) it doesn't yet have the intake antennas.

Not supplied on the sheet are the fuselage walk areas so you will have to either use the old Superscale sheets for this or the ones in the kit.

Suggested kit is, of course, the Hasegawa one. However, you could also use the Monogram or ESCI version should you so desire.
