Here is the first set I've seen for the new Eduard 1/32 Bf-109E kit. The set includes full data markings for one plane and it seems enough insignia for a second. Of course, you can get the other data markings from the kit decals if you so wish.

The set includes a wide variety of paint schemes for this earliest of 109s. As many of you know, the E-1 had a full machine gun armament while the E-3 had cannons in the wings. These two subtypes were built side by side at a ratio of 3 E-3 variants for each 2 E-1 versions so it was not uncommon to find both within the same unit.

First up is Yellow 14 of 6(J)./Tragergruppe 186 (later JG 77). This is in full early war markings of RLM 70/71/65 with the earlier narrow insignia.

Next is Yellow 12 of 6./JG 26. Same basic camo as above, but this time with a white tail section and white wingtips to add some unexpected color.

In the later RLM 71/02/65 scheme is Yellow 3 from 6./JG 52. As with the previous two, a yellow tip to the spinner. No mottling.

Finally, also in the RLM 70/71/65 scheme is 'Pips' Priller's plane from Stab I./JG 51. This one has huge upper and lower wing crosses with the early fuselage insignia.

As with all EagleCals sheets, the research is superlative with references provided. The full color placement guide also includes a detailed data markings guide.
