Units: See review

Scott Van Aken

Here is a great new offering from EagleCals. It is the first in a series called Golden EagleCals and combines a superb 24 page booklet with a decal sheet. This booklet includes a full history or George Preddy and all the known images of the aircraft that he flew. This includes several rare full color period photos as well as some superb profiles.

The decals, which are available in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/24 are superbly printed and provide markings for five aircraft, with insignia and stencils for one plane. That includes all four of the 'Cripes a Mighty' aircraft (a P-51B and three P-51Ds as well as the only shark mouthed aircraft ever in the 352nd FG, John Bennet's OD/Neutral Grey P-51B. Shown is the 1/72 sheet.

In addition to the historical section, the booklet provides modeler's tips such as the paints and mixtures needed to properly do the blue noses.

So here it is. All you ever wanted to know about George Preddy's aircraft and the markings to do them all. A set that I'm sure you'll find as outstanding as did I.
