One of
the major and longest users of the Phantom II is the JASDF. They built/assembled
most of the planes that served and at one time, the type equipped at least a
half dozen units. This particular sheet covers two units based at Hyakuri AB
which is just northeast of the Toyko metropolitan area.
The aircraft are camouflaged in the 'F-15' style scheme of FS 36375 and FS 36320 which are very close to each other so often look like a single shade. The sheet includes the unique tail markings of both units and the standard mass of stencils that JASDF planes carry. There are separate serials to cover any plane that operated with these squadrons, though you can also use the profiles provided for guides. It would not be that much of a stretch to consider this a stencil sheet with unit markings!
The decals themselves are superbly printed by Cartograf and there are sufficient stencils and insignia for one aircraft.
