NOTES:

An aircraft that has struck the fancy of many who model modern aircraft is the F-111 Aardvark. Though it has been retired from US service for about 5 years now, it continues to perform well in Australia for the RAAF. This sheet covers three aircraft; two EF-111A and one F-111F. For kits you have the Minicraft/Academy kits and their Chinese Zhengdeful knock-offs. Not much choice in 1/48, but considering the size of these things, I'm glad at least one company has decided to do it. The colors for the EF-111s are FS 36320 over FS 36495 with the F-111F being in overall FS 36081.

The first is 'Yankee Air Pirate' when operating from Turkey during Operation Provide Comfort in 1994. It and the aircraft below were with the 429 ECS/27 FW.

The other EF-111A is 'Strong Arm Tactics', again, as flying from Turkey in 1994. You'll undoubtedly have to update your kit with the GPS radome bump in front of the windscreen.

The third aircraft is an F-111F from the 27 FW at Cannon AFB during retirement ceremonies for the type in 1996. It lists all the units that have flown the aircraft in the nose art. This one also has the GPS installation.

As a bonus, there are markings for the Squadron Commanders plane that can be used with either of the EF-111As on this sheet.
