Hot on the heels of their Voodoo sheet, Caracal Models has produced one for the F-102 Delta Dagger. This is another aircraft for which not a ton of markings have been done and very few of those are ANG. This one has four different units on it and fortunately for modelers, we still have the rather nice Monogram kit. This has been released under the Revell label and the kits are pretty easy to find with a bit of looking. Monogram has boxed both types of wing and while which comes in which boxing escapes me at the moment, Caracal Models has provided both Case X and Case XX options.

First up is an aircraft from the 199 FIS, Hawaiian ANG. The aircraft is in ADC Grey which is the standard color for Grey F-102s. The sheet provides serials for both a Case X and Case XX wing with the Case X winged aircraft being equipped with the IRST seeker ball on the upper nose.

Next is another grey F-102A. This plane is with the 111 FIS. This is a Case X wing aircraft and was also equipped with the IRST ball, even though it is not shown in the profile. Texas had one of the less flamboyant markings.

On the other hand, the 146 FIS, Pennsylvannia ANG had one of the sharpest schemes around with a black fin and black spine. This aircraft has the Case XX wing and is equipped with the IRST seeker. I do not recall if this item is included in the kit as I have not built one of these as of yet.

The last option is one of the SEA camouflaged aircraft. These aircraft were often sprinkled in amongst grey planes as aircraft in this scheme operated in Vietnam as airfield defense. Anyway, this plane is from the 190 FIS, Idaho ANG. It is minimally adorned with just the state name and ANG symbol on the fin. This aircraft is somewhat unique in having a shark mouth. It also had no IRST ball when photographed. Most of these planes went from the unit to the drone conversion shops when retired. This aircraft has the Case X wing. Images of the full SEA camo scheme are available on the Caracal Models site.

As with other Caracal sheets, this one is superbly printed, this time by Cartograf decals. Full stencil and wing walk markings are provided for one aircraft. It comes with a complete colors and markings guide.

You can get this sheet direct from http://www.caracalmodels.com/cd48013.html.  As Caracal sheets tend to sell out rather quickly, I suggest picking one up soon.
