One of the big success stories of the USAF is the development of the F-15E. Here was a plane that had the ability to carry a prodigious amount of ordnance and be able to defend itself once that was all expended. It was a brilliant use of the current technology without having to develop an entirely new airframe that would have taken years to get into service. There is a lot to be said about how well it worked in that it has been a good seller overseas and is still in production.

This particular set has seven options, all from the 389th FS during overseas deployments. The 389th is part of a composite wing at Moutain Home AFB, which is really out in the boonies if you have ever been there. For kits, there are several that call themselves F-15Es in this scale, but the only kits that have all the proper bits and pieces are from Revell and GWH. The others are little more than F-15B/D aircraft with conformal tanks. and pylons.

So here is what you get:

F-15E 87-0173 "Checkmate", 389th FS

F-15E 87-0169 "Cerberus", 389th FS

F-15E 87-0209 "Grizz", 389th FS

F-15E 87-0170 "Boogeyman", 389th FS

F-15E 88-1699 "Ashbringer", 389th FS

F-15E 88-1678 "Billie Jean", 389th FS

F-15E 88-1705 "Point'n Shoot", 389th FS

The markings are printed by Cartograf so are a known high quality. You are provided sufficient common markings for one aircraft.
