Over the years of Phantom Operations, the Luftwaffe has had several camouflage schemes. This new sheet from Caracal Models covers what is known as the Norm 81 scheme. This came at a time of airframe upgrades so the scheme was applied during that process. This lasted until the Norm 90 scheme of predominately greys was introduced and worn until the type was retired from service.

While you can model pretty much any of the Luftwaffe's F-4Fs of the time (thanks to the inclusion of eight sets of additional numbers), right from the sheet you can do the following:

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "38+27", JG 71

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "37+58", JG 73

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "37+77", JG 72

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "37+85", JG 72

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "37+88", JG 74

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "38+43", "ICE43" F-4F ICE test aircraft

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "38+13", "ICE13" F-4F ICE test aircraft

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "37+96", JG 73

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "37+38", JG 73

Luftwaffe F-4F Phantom II "38+38", JG 71

The Norm 81 scheme came in an A and B style with one being more like the older splinter camo. The set also includes stencils and walkways for two complete aircraft as well as the red and white checks applied to the ICE plane's AMRAAM missiles.
