C&H Aero Miniatures 1/32 AV-8B+

To my knowledge, this is the first aftermarket decal sheet from C&H Aero Miniatures. Many of you will know C&H from the number of resin conversions they have provided over the years. Most of these have been for various 1/48 Monogram kits and have been well received by most modelers.

This set is for the Trumpeter 1/32 AV-8B+ and provide markings for two aircraft from VMA-211.

The first set are for the commanding officer's plane. This one  and the following aircraft are in FS 36118 over FS 36237 according to the full color placement guide. As befits the boss, this one has a red tail and aft ventral strake. Many of the markings are gold, so this is not your standard aircraft.

The second option is a line aircraft from the same unit. The sheet provides an addendum as apparently the initial printing only had four rudder stripes and missed the pilot names.

The decals are superbly printed and completely in register. No indication of who did the work is provided. A full color instruction sheet is provided. I do not know why the two supposedly equal upper surface greys are shown as rather different shades. There are enough data markings and insignia for one option.

For those who like the really big kits, this sheet should be most welcome.
