Often times resin replacement parts can offer not only the correct configuration of a part of an aircraft, but also greater detail. This particular piece is a replacement for the part that come with the recent Revell 1/32 Bf-109G-6 kits and corrects the spacing that is off on the kit bits. This is the upper cowling developed by Erla that was used on their production aircraft. The main visual difference between this and the standard upper cowling is that this one is curved at the rear of the gun trough.

To use this, you remove the part from the pour stub, and remove the keel piece that is on the underside. On the kit, you remove the brace on both fuselage halves that cover the upper cowling section. Then it is a simple matter of installing this in the place of the kit bits.

BarracudaCast provides full instructions on this procedure to ensure that you get it right. If you are a fan of Revell's 1/32 109G, then this is something you should consider.
