NOTES:

Balkan Models has made a good choice for their third 1.48 sheet. It seems they are going to basically upsize some of their more interesting 1/72 sheets into this scale if it seems there is enough demand. I like sheets that have a bunch of interesting schemes in it and this one certainly fills the bill.

There are eight different aircraft from six different air forces. The superbly done instruction sheet provides not only side views, but offers both sides, the underside and an upper view as well so you can be sure to get the correct camouflage pattern for your choice. The back of the fold out sheet offers a comprehensive color guide in a variety of paint brands so you can get the colors you need.

So let us start with the options, There are three aircraft with the Macedonian Air Force. Numbers 121, 122, and 123 are provided with each in a scheme that is different for each aircraft.

Next is an aircraft with the Ukraine Air Force.

An Iraqi AF version is next on the sheet.

This is followed by a Russian Su-25. Rather unusual insignia on this one as the red star has a thin black border followed by a large white border and on the outside a thin red border.

The lone two seat aircraft on the sheet is with the Georgian Air Force.

Last is a Bulgarian Air Force aircraft. This one is a bit different in that it has no upper wing insignia.

I'm not up on kits for this sheet though I do know that KP has done a quite nice Su-25K and it is probable that there are others on the market.

Overall, an excellent choice for the 1/48 modeler. The decals are quite thin and work very well.

Thanks to Balkan Models for the review sheet. Ask your local shop to get this one for you when it is available or check the link for the stockist nearest you.
