Authentic Decals are a new brand from the Olimp group, the same folks that have brought us a number of interesting resin and short run injected kits over the last few years. This is their first sheet and it is on the Su-24M Fencer D. There is a fine kit of this plane that was originally produced by Dragon and recently reboxed by Revell AG.

This particular sheet contains markings for six aircraft, all but one in the standard light grey and white. The instruction sheet provides both generic as well as Humbrol and Revell paint references. The decals are quite thin and well printed, though I have to comment that some of the bort numbers on my sheet were scratched. The markings are also quite matte.

The first plane is Red 40 based at Lipetsk in 2003.

Next is white 02 as based at Morozovska in 2003

White 22 is a Ukraine AF plane from Staokonstantinov in 2002 and carries a large dragon marking behind the intake.

White 14 from Jeeda in 2000 has a diving eagle marking on the fin.

White 17, from Voronezh in 2002 has a large Pterodactyl on the forward fuselage.

Red 09 is the lone camouflaged Fencer and was based at Krasnodar in 1993.

Instructions are well done and show were not only the main markings go, but also the stencils. This portion of the sheet shows where data markings for specific aircraft are located as well. If I had a comment it would be that the decal sheet is not only a very tight fit in the plastic sleeve, but also a bit too tall to allow it to be fully closed.

While it is great to have a sheet full of markings, I do wish that decal makers would put them in a slightly oversized bag so that we could easily get them in and out without fear of bending the sheet. One other thing of note is that the bag is attached to a hard card that has some color nose drawings on the back.

If you have the opportunity to pick up this sheet, I know you will not be disappointed.

My thanks to www.olimpmodelsgroup.com for the review sheet.
