APC Decals R72033: Amiot 143

There are times when we want to build a classic kit, but for various reasons, we discover that the kit decals are toast or incorrect in some way or another. If you recall, a few weeks back, I previewed the SMER reboxing of the Heller 1/72 Amiot 143. This kit fits well into the term 'classic' and as such, its decals were questionable at best. Actually, they were unusable as Propagteam had printed all the French Blue parts an extremely dark blue. This was not good as it made them inaccurate at best.

Fortunately APC Decals comes to the rescue as they have redone a number of sheets for these older kits, making corrections if needed as well. In this case they did the blue in the proper shade. These decals are printed with a single carrier so the builder will need to cut out each separate marking, a small price to pay for getting good decals. These do not come with instructions. Use the kit placement guide. Note that I have adjusted the decal image a bit so you can see the white areas.

I have used APC's decals in the past and can recommend them for clarity and opacity.
