'Thud Alley - Nose Art'
Available in both 1/72 and 1/48

Albatros Modelworks has come to the rescue of those who like F-105D Thunderchiefs. Offering a super decal sheet in both 1/72 and 1/48, this sheet contains some of the most risqué decals ever put on a sheet! Included on the sheet is the now famous 'Pussy Galore' as well as 'Cherry Girl'. There are also some 'normal' F-105s on the sheet such as 'Daisey Mae', 'Jeanie II', and 'Memphis Belle II', all with the appropriate nose art. in addition, there are enough stencil decals to do at least one plane. The 1/48 sheet is shown. The 1/72 sheet has the same planes, but more common markings so you can do more than one aircraft.

The decals are absolutely first rate. Well printed with no registration problems. They are a bit thicker than some, but that is because of the additional white coating behind some of the more transparent colors such as the red and the yellows. Probably the only downside to the sheet is the data placement sheet. I could not find the location of several of the stencils that are given. Some more attention in this area would be much appreciated.

There is also a great story on the history of 'Pussy Galore' by the pilot and a sheet delineating all the changes needed to alter the Monogram or Revell kit do one of the early 105Ds

Overall, it is a great sheet and one that every 'Thud' builder should have. If you want to see a 1/72 kit completed using this sheet, follow this link.
