It has been many years since I've seen an AirDoc sheet and this is the first new 1/48 one for low viz A-7E Corsair II's I've seen in many many years. The sheet is designed for the excellent Hasegawa kit and provides markings for six Atlantic Fleet aircraft. These are all in the two color scheme of FS 36320 over FS 36375.

First up is an aircraft from VA-12 'Clinchers' aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower during the Lebanon operations of late 1983.

From VA-37 'Bulls' comes the next aircraft while aboard the USS Forestall during 1985.

Also aboard the USS Dwight D Eisenhower is the VA-66 'Waldomen' plane from late 1983.

The VA-87 'Golden Warriors' A-7E is from the USS Independence during Grenada operations in October 1983.

The VA-105 'Gunslingers' Corsair is from a Fallon det in late 1985.

Finally, from VA-72 'Blue Hawks', comes this aircraft from their last cruise during Operation Desert Storm in January 1991 while aboard the USS JFK.

The set comes with three sets of complete markings in the three shades of grey used. Fuselage and stab walk area markings are also provided for the lighter and darker of the shades. The superb instruction sheet clearly shows what marking goes where so no worries on matching things up.

My thanks to AirDoc for the review sheet. You can find these at your local hobby shop and if not, ask them to order them for you. You can also order direct by e-mailing andreasklein@ak-airdoc.de for more information. As yet, AirDoc does not have a web presence.

I should also point out that this sheet is available in both 1/72 and 1/32 as well with the same subjects being provided for the larger and smaller scales. You can see the sheet numbers for them in the upper right of the large image at the top of the page.
