This next sheet is of subjects taken from their fine book on the F-84F in Luftwaffe service. It includes a number of excellent subject options is available on this sheet. For the most part, these planes are either in unpainted metal or the standard NATO Luftwaffe shades of RAL 6014 Olive Green and 7012 Basalt Grey over 7001 Silver Grey. The sheet provides 19 options, covering every unit to have flown it. There are also enough code letters to do just about every F-84F that flew with the Luftwaffe. I say almost as there are not enough nunbers to do and aircraft that requires three for each side (like -111 or -222)

First up is a WaSLw30 aircraft from 1958. This was pretty much the Luftwaffe training unit for pilots who had finished the basics of F-84F operations back in the US.

The next three are from JaboG 31 and include two bare metal and one painted option. The painted option has a yellow nose with black stripes while the unpainted ones have large unit badges.

JaboG 32 gets to have six options, equally mixed between painted and unpainted aircraft. This includes the 'shark' scheme, one with a nice blue rudder and one each of the different nose colors on the painted planes.

The next two are from JaboG 33. First a camo plane with a blue nose band, followed by a bare metal plane with a red nose intake.

From JaboG 34 comes three camouflaged planes though the third option is listed JaboG 33. These basically had different colored staffel badges on the fin. with the third option having yellow fuel tanks.

JaboG 35 was relatively short-lived so has but one marking option.

Next two are from JaboG 36. First has a red and white triangle nose intake ring while the second has a red nose ring and a large unit badge on the fin.

The final options returns us to JaboG 33 for a plane with a special nose art marking. This one has a yellow nose ring.

The set includes enough data markings and insignia to do one of these 19 options. One can easily do more simply by doing a different nose number that what is shown. This latter option will be somewhat compromised as only crew names and serials are provided for what is shown, but most won't notice as the serials and names are quite small decals.

The instruction booklet is superbly done with all the color information needed, a detailed data placement guide and a list of upgrade bit and kit suggestions. Most will pick the Kinetic or the Monogram kits for this one, though one can also opt for the Heller kit, which was also reboxed with extras by FM.

The decal sheets themselves are superbly printed in the Czech Republic. They are crisply done and I found no registration errors. This is a great set of sheets and you should really give this one a try.

My thanks to AirDoc for the review sheet. You can find these at your local hobby shop and if not, ask them to order them for you.

This same set of subjects is available for 1/72 builders.
