If you are like a lot of us, what drew you to the Roden 1/72 Felixstowe F.2A flying boat was the neat dazzle paint scheme that was shown on the box art. If you are like a lot of us, the thought of actually having to paint all that on the model was rather daunting and has probably resulted in the kit going back on the shelves.

Well, thanks to the fine folks at AIMS, you now can bring the kit back to the light of day. This is the first of two sheets that does those neat dazzle schemes. This sheet covers F.2A N4283 (the first option in the Roden kit) and basically provides all the black bits. This is more of a 'splinter' scheme with sharp angles than the other one provided. AIMS instruction sheet is absolutely first rate in terms of showing you exactly where all the various decals are to be placed on the kit. The decals are not only numbered, but divided into sections of the airframe. There are also additional application notes provided for in some cases it would be better to paint a section than to try to cover it with a decal. The decals themselves are crisply printed and quite opaque.

Thanks to AIMS for the review sheet. You can find this and other products on their website.
