And the beat goes on. A long running series from Aeromaster is on the F-8 Crusader. This is the 8th installment and this time the recommended kit is the newer Hasegawa version. I'm sure these would look equally as nice on the Monogram kit if you have one in the stash. Both of these planes are in the light gull grey over white scheme used throughout the gun-toting Crusader's life. I think only one or two were ever in any other scheme, though the RF-8s certainly were repainted in low-viz markings.

First up is the CAG bird from VF-201, a reserve unit based in Dallas, Texas. This F-8H has a white radome and an ECM fairing on the fin.

The other option is yet another CAG bird, this time from VF-162 aboard the USS Oriskany in 1967. This F-8E has replacement gun panels in what appears to be yellow zinc chromate primer.  These are provided as decals should you not wish to paint it. Note that there is no ECM fairing on the fin and there is a black section painted aft of a cooling exhaust outlet on the right side.

There are insignia as well as fuselage and stab walkways provided for one aircraft.
