Finally, the third new sheet on P-38s. These are all later war planes in bare metal finishes. The sheet provides full stencil and insignia for two of the three subjects. Again, the Hasegawa or Academy kits are recommended.
First is 'Strictly Laffs', a P-38J from the 432 FS/475 FG based in New Guinea in 1944. There is no additional color, but this one does have a rather oddly shaped anti-glare panel.
'Almost a Draggin' is a 9 FS/49 FG P-38L based in the Phillipines during 1945. There are red fin tips and a red/white/blue prop spinner on this one. The white and blue bits are provided as decals so one only has to paint the red tip.
Finally, 'Jandina IV', a P-38J from 80 FS/8FG. The colors on this one are green and white, with most of them provided by decals. The spinners need painted green and then a white stripe decal applied.
If you can do bare metal finishes, any of these schemes will look great on your next Lightning.
