The Mosquito was probably the most successful light bomber ever produced by the British. It was a superbly designed and engineered aircraft that was speedy enough to out-run most of its adversaries. Probably the only disadvantage was that it was mostly wooden construction, and as such, was not able to withstand the ravages of time or high humidity/high temperature operating areas for very long. Despite this, they were one of the few British aircraft kept in production after the war and served well into the 1950s.

This sheet covers post-war Mossies, all of the B.35s. The instruction sheet recommends the Airfix kit with Paragon conversion as there was no B.35 variant kitted. Since this sheet was released, Tamiya has come out with a range of 1/48 Mosquitos. However, there still is not a B.35 version, so you may still have to stick with the Paragon conversion set to be able to use this sheet.

The first is a 98 Squadron aircraft based in Germany in 1949. This plane is in dark green and ocean grey uppers with medium sea grey undersides.

Also in dark green/ocean grey uppers with medium sea grey lowers is this 14 Squadron B.35. Like its compatriot above, it was based in Germany in 1949.

The last aircraft on the list is in sea grey uppers with black lower surfaces and fin. This 139 Sq plane was based in the UK in 1950, so is in standard bomber colors. A probable glitch is that the drawing shows the fuselage serial number reversed. It should read TA*640 regardless of which side of the plane you are viewing. Obviously the folks at Aeromaster thought it was some sort of squadron code. You'll have to cut the offending decal to affect the change.  Bombers of the period had their serials very large so they could easily be spotted. Of course, I could be wrong and this plane was one of the many exceptions one finds when doing research. I'd check up on that just to make sure, though.
