Aeromaster 48-279, Ju-87B/R Stuka

$10.00 (retail)

With the relatively new (1994) Ju-87B from Hasegawa and the still good Airfix kit for the Ju-87R on the market, Aeromaster has released several sheet for those kits.

This particular sheet has schemes for five different aircraft; three B-2 and two R-2.  The only difference between the B and R is that the latter has plumbing for two long range tanks; one under each wing.  They were often flown without the extra tanks, so don't let that be a determining factor for which scheme you use.

The first scheme is a B-2 of 2 Staffel of 1/StG 3 in Greece, 1941.  All these aircraft have the standard 70/71/65 paint scheme. This one has the yellow nose and rudder for the Balkans Campaign. Code is S7+DK

Next is an R-2 of the Croatian Legion in Russia, 1944. This one only has a yellow fuselage band and not the standard Russian Front markings.

Third scheme is  an R-2 of 3/StG1 in North Africa, 1941. The standard paint scheme is heavily oversprayed in RLM 79. No white Medeterranian markings. Code is 2F+CA

Fourth in line is the B-2 of Hans Ulrich Rudel, the famous tank buster, coded T6+AD. This is a Stab III/StG 2 aircraft with all the Russian markings.

Last scheme is for a B-1, code 6G+AT of 9/StG 51 in France, 1941.  This is the only aircraft on the sheet that has the siren installed.  The other sheets either have it capped off or removed entirely.

Another fine set of subjects from Aeromaster.  If you are wondering at the $10.00 price tag, just look at the sheets on the right.  There are two of them, the second sheet containing the wing crosses and stencils.
