This sheet contains nine markings options for the Kawanishi N1K1-J Shiden. This is not the later war Shiden-kai but the original version that out produced the later version by about 4 to 1. Recommended kits are by Tamiya and Otaki, though I'm sure most will pick the Tamiya kit. All of the options were in Kawanishi navy green uppers with grey-green undersides and a yellow wing leading edge ID marking. Props have a green spinner with brown prop blades.
The only real difference in the options is the tail codes and some of the planes were well worn. Units are the 341 Kokutai based in the Philippines during 1944, Yatabe Kokutai based at Tsukuba in 1945, 201 Kokutai, and the Yokuska Kokutai in 1944. This aircraft was also with the 343rd Kokutai, but apparently no photos of it with this unit have turned up.
There are enough insignia for multiple aircraft and a nice selection of prop stripes and warning data as well. A set of insignia with the white overpainted is also included. The sheet itself is printed by Microscale.
