This sheet
contains four markings options for the AMT series of 1/48 F7F Tigercats. Most of
these are the night fighter version and you may want to seek a replacement nose

This sheet
contains four markings options for the AMT series of 1/48 F7F Tigercats. Most of
these are the night fighter version and you may want to seek a replacement nose
as the kit version is a bit small. All planes are painted gloss sea blue.
First up is
WH/17 of VMF(N)-542. This aircraft has a black anti-glare panel on the nose.
Next is AI/7 from VMF(N)-533. Note that this plane had aluminum wheel hubs.
Another VMF(N)-542 plane is WH/16.
Finally an F7F-2N from an unknown training unit. Note that this is a pre-1947 scheme with the WWII style insignia.
Decals are printed by Microscale. There really aren't a lot of colorful options for the Tigercat unless you are doing a fire bomber. However, the overall gloss sea blue is really easy to paint.
