This sheet has a nice selection of 'bubbletop'te P-47Ds, most of them with quite a bit of color, as you'd expect from late war planes when there wasn't much air opposition. The recommended kits are by Hasegawa and Monogram, but these may well work on the newer Tamiya kit.

First up is 'The Trojan Warhorse' of the 79th FG. This plane has a Hamilton Standard prop. It also has the fin fillet of later P-57s. The fin, upper horizontal stabs, and canopy surround are blue with the prop hub and cowl flaps in red. OD anti-glare panel.

From the 350 FS/353 FG 86th FG is 'Natalie Ann II'. Like the other options it is in unpainted metal. It has a white spinner and the group's yellow and black checkered cowling. Invasion stripes on the lower wings and fuselage. This aircraft has an additional insignia under the wings.

Moving to the Pacific, we have 'Battle Baby'. It has a black fuselage band with yellow prop hub and forward cowling. A template is provided for the cowling stripe.
