One of those units that is converting from the 'standard' F-18A/C to the F-18E is VFA-37 'Kestrels'. This conversion was done last year (2004) and apparently, they have been experimenting with their unit logos. All F-18Es are currently painted in a two tone scheme of FS 36320 upper with FS 36375 undersides, a couple of colors that blend into each other well.

The sheet provides three options: one is the CAG bird with full color tail and insignia. The other two are regular unit planes. Of these, there are two different styles of tail markings. One is large like on the CAG bird, with a small air wing designator. The other has a smaller unit marking with a larger unit designator. All schemes are from the mid-2004 time period so perhaps they have picked one of the two for their final design by now.

The sheet includes stencils, insignia and slime lights for all three options. You may note that these latter items also have IR lights for use when flying with night vision goggles. TYpical of Two Bobs, there are small photos of the actual aircraft included on the sheet. For kits you have the Revell/Italeri version, which is a preproduction aircraft, or the later Hasegawa F-18E, which is to full production standards. Either way, you'll have a nice model of one of the latest additions to the fleet.
