This is the first of at least two sheets on the Hornets of VFA-97. They are one of the last fleet units still flying the F-18A model and have done quite well despite the age of the aircraft. Like other TwoBobs sheets there are the usual detail shots and load out data sheet.

The main theme of this particular sheet is a special paint scheme for the Army/Navy football game that takes place each year. It has become a tradition for one unit to decorate an aircraft for this game. This sheet portrays this aircraft as well as the CAG bird from VFA-97.

In addition to what is shown to the right, there is a smaller sheet that includes the fuel tank markings,  some of the other common markings and lerex walkway marking. Should you wish to do both aircraft on the sheet, you'll have to scrounge the walkway marking from another source. An interesting touch is that the portion of the unit fin markings that cover the rudder are separate so that you can properly display the plane with the rudders canted inward as they often are seen when the plane shuts down.

Another very well researched and printed sheet for your next F-18.
