If you have read the history of the X-15 in the book Hypersonic, you know that the authors had access to a huge number of photos of the X-15 and its development. More than they could put into the pages of their outstanding history of the X-15.

The result of that overflow is this book, which is, as it implies, a photo history of North American's X-15. Within its 108 pages (12 of them in full color) are 400 additional photos, covering every aspect of the story of the X-15. Aviation historians and modelers alike will find this to be a fascinating book. Those who have already bought Hypersonic will want it as a companion to this excellent history. Others who have either a passing interest in the aircraft or who just want an excellent photo book on a famous plane will want it for the superb photographs that are contained within its pages.

This is a book that I can most highly recommend.
