It was a delight to see the next edition of Luftwaffe im Focus in the mails. This edition is, like all the previous works, chock full of great stories covering a wide array of subjects and aircraft types. Not only are the articles informative, but they also provide some great stories that look into some of the less well known aspects of the Luftwaffe during WWII and before.

Sometimes the story is simply some great photos such as those of Dewoitine D.520s being used in advanced training units or photos of the Reggia Aeronautica's brief stay in Belgium during 1940. I also very much liked the section on ZG 76s Bf-110Cs, this article containing quite a few rare full color photos as well as the usual excellent profiles that are often an accompanying part of a story.

There is a very interesting section on the operations of the Prinz Eugen's Ar-196s during the last months of the war. In fact, one of these aircraft was on display at NAS Willow Grove, north of Philadelphia for decades. It is now in Germany being refurbished. We get a look at the aircraft in a boneyard in Russia in mid-war as well as a look at the 'Dobbas' transportation packs and a nice article on the Hs-129.

Of course, there is much more, but I will not spoil another fine edition by telling all. You will need to get your own copy and I have to say you will not be disappointed.  As always, the large A4 format allow for some superb and large photographs, something I know we all have come to appreciate. Like the earlier LIF books, this one is dual English/German and is not only interesting but informative as well. There is delight in every page, making this book one that you simply have to get.
