Continuing with the superb Lufwaffe im Focus is issue #14, another outstanding look at things Luftwaffe. There are a banner crop of stories in this issue covering everything from fighters, to bombers, to observation aircraft and units. There are also pilot stories and portraits of lesser known aces that I know you will find fascinating.
Without giving away the book, some of the articles and images I found particularly interesting were on the wreck of an He-111 in Norway and the intact capture of a Wellington, complete with color photos. A most completely 'zapped' HS-123, complete with photos of both sides and large profiles is in there. There are also a number of interesting 109 and 190 photos, including a superb story of a JG 2 mission during 1942. Of course, there is the ever-popular 'more'.
As always, the large A4 format allow for some superb and large photographs, something I know we all have come to appreciate. Like the earlier LIF books, this one is dual English/German and contains not only some rare period color photos, but a lot of previously unpublished images from a number of sources. There is delight in every page, making this book one that you simply have to get.
