| NOTES: |
I always look forward
to the next edition of IPMS Canada's RT and the spring edition managed to make
it through the international mails unscathed. As is the norm, this one is 44 full
color pages and includes six very well done articles, chock full of images and
with a nice write-up.
After the editorial from the new editor in chief (Welcome), we have Peter Shanley's pseudo-whiffer using the Academy/Minicraft 1/48 XF5F-1 Skyrocket. Peter has decided to go the Blackhawk route with this one which is basically a decal change. He also added a few aftermarket bits to replace a few kit items. Nothing major so this is a conversion that pretty much any modeler can do.
Next up is part two of Richard Guetig's artice on the M5A1 Stuart. This time, the concentration is on the figures.
Airliner enthusiasts will appreciate Alex Bernardo's conversion using a Minicraft 1/144 Constellation to produce a backdated version. Not for the squeamish, but the results are well worth the effort.
Article four is on improving the Hobbycraft 1/72 Tutor. Ken Woodruff, gives a nice step by step instruction on how to produce a lovely Snowbirds version.
Evan Jones has the next article on how to build and improve the Revell 1/25 California Street Chopper. A very clean build.
Finally, we have an IBG 1/72 Diamond T 969 Wrecker. George Wray takes us through the process of building this apparently fairly difficult kit. The end result is superb.
Another fine edition and one I look forward to every quarter. So, you are wondering, just how do I get this great club magazine. Well, it is simple. Just trade boring money for full color magazines. IPMS Canada is a great group of people so you will be in very good company. Can't get much better than that.
But wait, there is more. If you join, you also get the electronic Beaver Tales delivered straight to your computer.
