NOTES:

With the start of summer comes the summer edition of Random Thoughts. Once again, it is a great read. One can always count on interesting and informative articles with this edition being no exception.

The initial article is by Al Magnus who presents a really interesting subject that is partially scratch-built using a 1/72 Kettenkrad. I'd never heard of the Babiole, but now I have and it is a pretty cool vehicle.

Next up is a kitbashed 'whiffer', using much of an F-16XL. This one is Ken Woodruff's F-96 'Kingsnake' and is quite well done.

Frank Cuden builds the Fujimi 1/72 A-4E/F using a fair amount of aftermarket to make a nice replica.

My favorite of the lot is Craig Baldwin's GWH 1/48 CT-133. What really draws me to this one is the way Craig did the faded da-glo. Naturally we are shown how to do this. Well worth the price of admission for this one article.

It is followed by a number of overall and detail images of the real deal to get one motivated.

Finally an EF-101 in 1/72 scale by Klaus Meyer using the Revell kit to build this black beauty. Klaus shows us all the required modifications to duplicate this aircraft.

Another fine edition and one I look forward to every quarter. So, you are wondering, just how do I get this great club magazine. Well, it is simple. Just trade boring money for full color magazines. IPMS Canada is a great group of people so you will be in very good company. Can't get much better than that.

But wait, there is more. If you join, you also get the electronic Beaver Tales delivered straight to your computer, and you can get the periodic decal sheets that are only provided to members.
