NOTES:

The latest addition of Random Thoughts has arrived and once again, it is a great read. As usual, it arrived at the start of the season so the days of being fairly late are well behind them. This edition provides the usual great articles and to handle it all, additional pages have been added.

So what is in this one. Well, to start, we have John Robinson's super diorama of a P-38 being ferried by a pair of DUKW's. John used and RS Models 1/72 P-38 and a pair of Italeri DUKWs. Apparently the P-38 was a pain to build as John says little about it. The article is a nice 'how to' if you want to duplicate it.

Next is the main cover subject, a 1/48 CC-129 Dakota. John  Lumley spent some time flying these aircraft so has some insights into the aircraft. His article is followed by two smaller ones on Dak intakes and main door details.

The third article is Barry Madden's 1/35 M113 Fitter using aftermarket bits and the Tamiya kit.

A nice engine repair diorama is next from John Robinson. John uses the Monogram 1/12 Pratt & Whitney  radial engine as the basis for a very well done project.

Finally, Jose Gonzalez builds the Tamiya 1/48 P-47D Thunderbolt in RAF Burma markings. Most of the article covers painting the kit. This is followed by a short article on RCAF pilots who flew with the RAF in these planes.

Another fine edition and one I look forward to every quarter. So, you are wondering, just how do I get this great club magazine. Well, it is simple. Just trade boring money for full color magazines. IPMS Canada is a great group of people so you will be in very good company. Can't get much better than that.

But wait, there is more. If you join, you also get the electronic Beaver Tales delivered straight to your computer, and you can get the periodic decal sheets that are only provided to members.
