The latest addition of Random Thoughts has arrived and once again, it is a great read. An interesting portion of the editorial is on kits that have been superseded by something newer. Many of us like to build these older kits as they are usually less fiddly. This edition has five articles instead of the usual six, but some of them are quite comprehensive which adds four additional pages.

One of those longer articles is on the cover subject. This is Geoff Heyland's Canadian B-47 or CL-52 using the Hasegawa kit as the basis. This aircraft was seconded to the RCAF in order to test the Orenda engine. As you'd expect, much of the article concerns itself with the engine and the pod. It all makes for a great article.

Second up is Will Alcott's IBG 1/72 C15TA Armored Truck as used in South Vietnam.

Next is the MiniArt 1/35 Avro 671 Rota autogyro. Barry Maddin does his usual sterling work and adds it into a nice diorama.

The fourth article is on something called Color Modulation. Frank Donati spends quite a bit of time/pages to go over the subject. Very interesting reading.

Finally, Frank Cudden builds a nice Canadian Pacific DC-4 using the Minicraft kit. Frank picked one of Minicraft's better kits and his results are quite pleasing. 

Another fine edition and one I look forward to every quarter. So, you are wondering, just how do I get this great club magazine. Well, it is simple. Just trade uncolorful money for full color magazines. IPMS Canada is a great group of people so you will be in very good company. Can't get much better than that.
