This is another great title from the RAFIC folks and covers the Hurricane I and II in Canadian service. This includes both in the UK during the war and in Canada proper. The Hurricane was build in fairly large numbers in Canada as it was feared that German bombing would disrupt production in the UK. These aircraft generally differed from those built by Hawker UK in that they used Packard Merlins. Later versions used Hamilton Standard props as well. These latter planes were almost entirely used in country rather than shipped to the UK.

As with other books in this series, the focus is quite narrow, hence Canadian early Hurrican units. Even with this narrowing focus, there is a considerable amount of information in this edition, which is larger than most in this series.

In addition to the history of the units themselves during this time, we are provided with a look at the development of the Hurricane in Canada. There are the usual tables of losses and victories as well as some great period photos and more than the usual number of superb full color profiles of aircraft used by these squadrons.

Thanks to all the well done research and choice of illustrations, it makes for a superb addition to the series and its reasonable price is one that should appeal to many.
