This is the fifth of SMH's themed figure books and is a compilation of previously published articles that fits into a specific theme. This one is on German figures from WWII, an extremely popular subject and one that engenders hundreds of new products each year.

As a note, the article sequence is not the same as the images on the cover

We start off with a nice 1/16 scale Eastern Front soldier. This one is completely scratchbuilt and a super start to this edition.

Next, a nice 90mm early war German soldier in an article on how to paint their grey uniform.

The first bust is of Michael Wittman, the panzer ace in 200mm.

An SS squad leader in 1/9 scale is the fourth offering.

Another SS subject, this time a 180mm panzer crewman.

Yet another 180mm bust is of panzer ace Otto Carius.

Moving to 1/35 scale is a small vignette of an SS tank crewman in the last year of the war.

The lone nautical figure is a very nice 180mm bust of a U-boat captain.

Next to last is a two figure vignette in 1/35 portraying soldiers during the Battle of the Bulge.

Finally another 1/35 presentation that includes a section of a tank from the Kharkov campaign.

So there you have it. Thirteen very well done articles and the usual superlative photography that one has come to expect from Mr. Black. I am sure you will learn something from this compilation. I always do. Well worth picking up.
