Notes: Magazine, 66 pages, full color

It is not often that I receive a magazine for review, but this one is Model Expert #89 from Greece. It is 66 pages with a card cover and it is in full color. It is also entirely in Greek, which makes it difficult to read the articles for those of us who don't speak the language.

However, that language barrier in no way interferes with the superb photography that you'll find page after page in this superbly done magazine. There are the usual sections with looks at new kits and accessories as well as a section on books. Something most model magazines don't have is a section on new figures, and there is one here in Model Expert. Including some quite racy ones, which will undoubtedly cause a flood of letters to the editor.....

Articles include one on doing a Greek F-16C using the Hasegawa 1/48 kit, a walkaround of a real Greek F-16C, a nice Revell 1/72 Arado E.555 build (labeled as 1/48 scale!), a great article on doing all the different Sherman variants in 1/72 scale, a couple of fine show articles with a bunch of very nicely done models, and finally a 150mm Latore Models 93rd Highlanders figure from Balaklava in 1854.

Overall an excellent magazine and one that you should consider if you like a well done publication.
