For their second release in this series, MMP has chosen the Polish PZL P.11c. This aircraft was cutting edge when it first flew, but such was the pace of aeronautics and aircraft design, that by the time it was used in combat, it was obsolescent at best. This did not stop pilots from scoring air to air victories, but they were simply overwhelmed. The P.11c was the version built in the greatest numbers and while other variations served with a number of nations in central and southern Europe, they were also fairly ineffective when they entered combat.
In line with the initial release, this one is in the large A4 size with several distinct sections. There is no history of the type, but there are superbly done plans in both 1/48 and 1/72 scale. This includes fuselage cross sections that are often missing from other plans. The book includes a goodly number of period photos showing both sections and entire aircraft. There are also color photos of the restored aircraft's cockpit so you can get an idea of the color. The book finishes up with large, full page color four views of an in-service example.
It is another great addition to the MMP family of books that offers all that both the modeler and the enthusiast are seeking in a plans/detail book on a specific aircraft without going into a ton of detail. If you want to know the routing of the oxygen lines, then this may not be the book for you. It is a book that I found to be well done and one that I can highly recommend to you.
