This next volume from MMP Books' Color & Scale series is on the Henschel Hs-126. During WWII and before, observation aircraft were the mainstay of most modern military air arms. These had evolved into fair large aircraft that could also double as a light bomber. Their main task was aerial photography and observation and to be effective, they had to operate in areas where there was no or minimal air opposition, otherwise they had to rely on their maneuverability to keep from being shot down. The 126 operated on just about every front in support of the German Army. It was not only used for its intended purpose, but also for liaison and could tow one of the lighter gliders. As you'd expect from a WWII German aircraft, there were a variety of interesting schemes and markings.
The 126 did not have a plethora of variants so the plans section is a bit smaller than in other volumes. It still contains side along with upper and lower drawings in 1/72. Due to the smaller plans section, there are a lot more full color profiles that previous volumes. Since there was not set pattern for the camouflage scheme, each aircraft was somewhat unique in this regard. As usual, the last page is an explanation of all the profiles in Polish.
In all, it is turning into an interesting series. You can count on others to come covering other types.
