Edition #5 covers an aircraft that for most, does not readily come to mind when thinking of the Battle of France during 1940. The 63-11 was basically a reconnaissance aircraft with a light bomber capability that was rarely used. It was based on the Potez 630 series of twin engine fighter/bombers. For the time, it was fairly fast and its large glazed nose was perfect for an observer. However, like most twin engine aircraft at the start of the war, they were fairly easy targets for German fighters and so quite a few were lost. Even more were captured/destroyed on the ground thanks to a lack of basic parts.
There was only one variant of the 63-11 so the plans section is a bit smaller than in other volumes. It still contains side along with upper and lower drawings in 1/72. Due to the smaller plans section, there are a lot more full color profiles that previous volumes. Since there was not set pattern for the camouflage scheme, each aircraft was somewhat unique in this regard. As usual, the last page is an explanation of all the profiles in Polish.
In all, it is turning into an interesting series. You can count on others to come covering other WWII types.
